Jason Dredge has establish a firm command on the MSA British Championship after secured two wins in the MSA British Superkart Championship supported by Ginetta Cars at Bishopscourt in Northern Ireland leaving his main championship rivals struggling in his wake.

After qualifying second he led both races from start to finish to increase his points lead in the series. His only problem was a leaking fuel breather pipe that covered his visor in the latter stages of race 2. Reigning champion James O'Reilly had a torrid weekend suffering two engine seizures while lying in second place on each occasion. Martin Jones, who was lying second in the championship prior to this round had major handling problems on his Anderson and struggled to a fifth and seventh.

20 years old Toby Davis from Ledbury put in two excellent performances to secure two second places behind the flying Dredge. It's a shame Toby's brother Ben was not racing as it would of possibly been a family podium. Ben was at home revising for his AS exams. Toby chased Dredge in the early stages of race 2 before losing out to O'Reilly for a couple of laps. When the reigning champion dropped out he kept up the chase of Dredge despite getting fuel in his eyes from the leaking breather pipe ahead. The Clark family, Dan and uncle Malcolm locked out third and fourth places in race 1 but Paul Platt pushed them back a place in race 2 when a better handling kart allowed him to grab third place.

Dredge also took home to Reading the UK Cup ("O' Plate) which was the 3rd race of the day. But had no points allocated for the championship.

Race one:

1 Jason Dredge (Anderson) 10 laps in 11m34.687s (102.36mph); 2 Toby Davis (Anderson) +6.703s;

Fastest Lap: O'Reilly 1m08.755s (103.42mph).
