was well supported with many international names to the entry list. Peter Elkmann had been in dominant form and in the final took the honours once again. He had not had it all his own way though as for much of the race Lee Harpham put him under considerable pressure in an attempt to maintain his GP title from last year. The pair were split by 2 seconds after 14 laps of the arduous circuit setting an astonishing pace at the front of the field both lapping below the Superkart record with Elkmann eventually setting the fastest and new record of 1:22.50. Carl Hulme was some way behind but a comfortable 3rd, with Payart, Harvey and Crowe rounding out the top five. Many contenders for the title including Roberts, Owens and Kennings were non-finishers. Stuart Parker took a popular win in Division 2.

125 Open

Paul Platt had got his championship back on track with a clean sweep of victories all weekend. Pressure early on in the final came from James Irvine however an off track excursion left him with too much to do eventually coming home in third. Danny Edwards had come a strong second having found some good pace throughout the weekend, he had been having a good dice with Ward all weekend however the later was a retiree from the final mid distance. Sleep and Dean Keeble were next.

125 ICC

As in years gone the primarily short circuit class provided the closest final of the day. Anyone of the breakaway Karts of Daffyd Iles, Daniel Borton and Lewis Williamson could have taken the victory. Ian Larder had been on scintillating form all weekend, however retired failing to complete the first tour. Defending champion Sam Moore was also out, seizing at the end of the main straight in spectacular style. As the lead pack entered the penultimate lap it had appeared Williamson gave up the lead, so as not to loose out up park straight due to slipstream on the last lap. This was a risky move however as he appeared into view on the mountain section it was clear the gap established out of sight would set him up for the win. Iles came home second with Borton just tenths behind in third. Stephen Lane came from the back of the grid to 4th.

250 National

A very healthy entry in the most popular class was headed all weekend by Jason Dredge. James Oreilly had also shown outstanding pace and was close to Dredge all the way through the final, however couldn’t quite get those vital few tenths from Dredges lead. Dredge had never been beaten all weekend and was clearly dialled in to the circuit and on form. Craig Fleming was a distant 3rd coming of the line with Mark Allen and Martin Jones in very close attendance. A lot of top names had difficulties including Gavin Bennett who’s blighted weekend eventually ended in yet another retirement. Fastest lap some consolation. Moss was also a front-runner all weekend but had clearly had contact early on in the race having to work his way back through the field. Bett and Waring were also on form but out of luck.

Louise Colin took a comfortable win to retain her GP title, with Don Thompson her nearest challenger some 7 seconds back. Charles Morris the circuit record holder was out very early on. A shame as he was surely Colins main challenger.
